INTRODUCCIÓN

¿Por qué enseñar sobre el tema de “Lealtad y Deslealtad”? Primeramente, hemos visto la relevancia de este tema en la Palabra de Dios. Segundo,las Escrituras están llenas con relatos de gente fiel como también traicioneras.

Hemos visto personas de inexperiencia que probablemente piensen que entre más dotado son, más calificado son para el ministerio. Nuestra experiencia nos ha demostrado que son las personas fieles y leales en la iglesia las más calificadas para ser líderes. 

El liderazgo laico tanto como el clericó es una ciencia que debe ser objeto de estudio con mucho cuidado, no solamente para su asimilación sino también para la aplicación de sus principios y el logro de una mayor efectividad en las actividades desarrolladas en cualquier campo humano, y especialmente en el campo de la lealtad y deslealtad.

El liderazgo cumple una función importantísima en la existencia del ser humano. Es una necesidad vital que existe en el corazón humano. Jesús enseñó un modelo de liderazgo basado en la 

confianza. La estrecha relación entre Jesús y sus discípulos fue expresada continuamente: “Yo soy el buen pastor y conozco mis ovejas, y la mías me conocen…y pongo mi vida por las ovejas” (Jn 10:14). Los discípulos enseñaron con su ejemplo leal que es posible seguir, vivir y morir por alguien: Jesús de Nazaret. 

Finalmente un buen liderazgo LEAL, promueve la unidad y no la división del Cuerpo, trabajando arduamente por la visión y la Misión del Pastor o Persona encargada.  También agradecemos al autor de el material original; al apóstol Dag Heward-Mills.

¿Por Qué La Lealtad?

¿Por qué enseñar sobre el tema de “Lealtad y Deslealtad”? Primeramente, he visto la relevancia de este tema en la Palabra de Dios. Las Escrituras están llenas con relatos de gente fiel como también traicioneras. Hay mucho que aprender de estos relatos Bíblicos. Mis pocos años en el ministerio también me han hecho consciente de gente leal y desleal. He notado el impacto que tiene en las iglesias y ministerios. Hoy compartiré con ustedes el tema de la lealtad.

Llaves Para Una Cultura De  Lealtad

Llave #1   El Viento Del Norte

El viento del norte ahuyenta la lluvia, y el rostro airado la lengua detractora. Proverbios 25:23 La Biblia dice que el viento norte ahuyenta la lluvia. Una poderosa tormenta es ahuyentada por un fuerte viento.  De la misma manera, el poder de la lengua maliciosa detractora puede ser neutralizada por ciertas expresiones faciales.

Demuéstrale a la persona a través de tu rostro que no estás interesado en su conversación.               …y el rostro airado [ahuyenta] la lengua detractora.    Proverbios 25:23

Llave #2    Podar  Constantemente

Para tener una cultura de lealtad tienes que podar constantemente aquellos elementos desleales que se meten en nuestros medios.   No le permitas a ningún líder contaminar tus valiosas ovejas.

¿…No sabéis que un poco de levadura leuda toda la masa?  1 Corintios 5:6     

Llave #3    Crear Fuego

En ocasiones es necesario crear condiciones para revelar a elementos desleales dentro de tu equipo.

…y una víbora, huyendo del calor…   Hechos 28:3

Cuando Pablo llegó a la isla de Melita, la gente local amablemente le hicieron un fuego para él y sus compañeros. Pablo recogió algunas ramas secas y las hecho en el fuego. De repente una víbora salió del fuego y se prendió a la mano de Pablo. Una de las ‘ramas’ ¡era una culebra!  El fuego la expuso. Antes de ser sometidas al fuego, algunas culebras pueden aparentar ser ramas ordinarias.

La rebelión nace del corazón. Si una persona va a causar problemas, ninguna cantidad de dinero o condiciones favorables de servicio lo impedirán.

Llave #4    Trabaja Con Personas Dispuestas

Asegúrate de no tener personas indispuestas (atrapadas) a tu alrededor. Una cosa que no debes de tener es alguien que quiere irse pero por razones económicas o diversas se siente atrapado dentro de tu organización. Los corazones de tales personas ya no están contigo. Ellos pueden llegar a convertirse en traidores. Presenta la manera para que estas personas puedan salir pacíficamente. No hay nada mejor que trabajar con una persona dispuesta y feliz. Porque si primero hay la voluntad DISPUESTA …  2 Corintios 8:12  

Llave #5   Enseña En Contra De La Deslealtad

La enseñanza constante sobre temas de lealtad y deslealtad son muy importantes. Muchas personas son ignorantes sobre el desarrollo del proceso de la deslealtad. En otras palabras, muchos rebeldes no están conscientes de lo que están haciendo. La educación constante va a prevenir que las personas se 

involucren inconscientemente en actividades traicioneras. Cualquier persona que quiere edificar una iglesia grande debe de enseñar constantemente sobre la fidelidad y lealtad. Todo ministro tendrá su batalla con las tentaciones de la deslealtad. Su líder desarrollará una cultura de lealtad a través de tu enseñanza constante.

• Lecciones En Lealtad

Lección #1   La Lealtad Demanda Una Persuasión Completa

Debes de estar completamente convencido de corazón de todas las cosas en las cuales estas involucrado. Ser un miembro comprometido con un ministerio requiere lo que yo llamo persuasión completa. Si me vas a ser leal, tendrás que estar seguro de mi ¿Soy alguien en quien puedes confiar? ¿Soy la persona que digo que soy? En una ocasión le pregunté a algunos pastores: ¿Qué hará que las personas dejen de hablar de mi?”  Una persona dio la respuesta correcta. Ella dijo: “Si dejas de hacer la obra del ministerio, ¡la gente dejara de hablar de ti!” Y esto es muy cierto.

1. Jesús Fue Acusado

En Lucas 23:2, Jesús fue acusado por muchas personas de: …descarriar nuestro pueblo…   …enseñándole al pueblo sublevación…   …impidiendoles pagar impuestos al Emperador…   …diciéndoles que no es bueno pagar impuestos…   …reclamando ser un Rey Ungido…

Y en Lucas 11:15, Jesús fue acusado de echar fuera demonios porque El estaba:

   …en alianza con Belzebú, el príncipe de los demonios…

2. Pablo Fue Acusado

En Hechos 24:5, Pablo fue acusado de ser …una fuente de malicia… una verdadera plaga…una peste pública… un perturbador de la paz… uno que levanta controversia… un fomentador de la discordia…   …la cabecilla de una secta…

En Hechos 24:6, él también fue acusado de ser alguien que: …también intentó profanar a un el templo… estaba intentando hacer el templo impuro. Debes de estar completamente persuadido para cuando vengan los acusadores, pruebas y tribulaciones podrás permanecer fiel.

Debes de estar preparado a defender confiadamente la integridad del ministerio. Pero no me avergüenzo, porque yo sé a quién he creído, y estoy seguro [ingles esta palabra es persuadido]…  2da. Timoteo 1:12

Lección #2 – Tu Lealtad Debe De Ser Hacia La Autoridad Máxima

En una organización como la iglesia siempre habrá una cantidad de diferentes autoridades a las cuales tendrás que someterte. Obviamente, algunos de ellos tendrán un rango más alto que otros. La lección aquí es, si se presenta la pregunta de lealtad: Tu lealtad debe ser hacia la persona con la autoridad máxima. El apóstol Pablo dijo: Sigan ustedes mi ejemplo, como yo sigo el ejemplo de Cristo.         1 Cor.  11:1

Lección #3 – Una Persona Leal No Se Guarda La Información

Una persona leal es abierta con su autoridad sobre cualquier cosa que esté ocurriendo. Yo considero a alguien leal si él me comparte sobre la corrupción que se está llevando a cabo. Si yo me doy cuenta que él sabía desde el inicio, pero no dijo nada, le consideraré desleal. Hay varios ejemplos de personas en la Biblia que no se guardaron la información. Algunos de estos condujeron a grandes revelaciones y bendiciones. Pablo dijo; “De cierto se OYE que hay entre vosotros fornicación… 1 Corintios 5:1

Note que Pablo no recibió una palabra de ciencia sobre la magnitud de la inmoralidad dentro de la iglesia. Alguien se lo hizo saber. Una buena y leal estructura funciona a través de personas fieles que informan a los de arriba sobre cualquier cosa que esté fuera de orden. Nosotros no tuviéramos toda la buena enseñanza de 1ra.Corintios 5, si alguien no hubiera reportado este acto de pecado.

Observe como otra familia le reporta a Pablo sobre algunas ocurrencias dentro de la iglesia. Este reporte ni siquiera venía del pastor, pero de un miembro ordinario de la iglesia llamada Cloe. Porque me ha sido INFORMADO… por los de Cloé, que hay entre vosotros contiendas… 1 Cor. 1:11

Tales reportes conduce a la edificación de la iglesia. Se encuentra una diferencia entre reportes santos a las autoridades apropiadas y calumnia chismosa.

Cuando tú te guardas la información das la impresión como si estuvieras de acuerdo con lo que está ocurriendo. Es lo que llamamos complicidad. Si tú descubres una insurrección y arresta a todos los rebeldes, este solamente es el primer paso. La próxima cosa de hacer es averiguar quienes sabían de esto. Un reporte piadoso puede salvar la vida de una iglesia.

Lección #4 – Lealtad Está Basada En Principios Y No Emociones

Muchas personas operan bajo sentimientos y emociones en vez de un juego de principios. Decisiones basadas en emociones en vez de principios no son sustantivas. Si has decidido pertenecer a algo debes de tomar tu decisión basado en principios y no sentimientos.

Jonatán Era Una Persona de  De Principios

Jonatán, el hijo de Saúl se dio cuenta que su padre estaba equivocado en principio, estaba tratando de asesinar a un hombre inocente. A si que decidió ayudar a David aunque era emocionalmente difícil hacerlo. Aunque sus acciones eran dirigidas en contra de su propia familia, era la cosa correcta de hacer. Algunas personas solamente siguen la línea de la familia. Jonatán no era así. Mira lo que él dijo;    Pero si mi padre intentare hacerte mal… Te Lo Hiciere Saber y te enviare para que te vayas en paz… 1 Samuel 2

Lección #5 – La Lealtad Te Costará Relaciones Y Amistades

Todo tiene un precio. La educación tiene un precio. Aun tu salvación tiene un precio. La Biblia dice que fuimos comprados con un precio. La lealtad también tiene un precio. Ser leal a alguien significa que no puedes ser leal a todos. La lealtad te costará relaciones y amistades. Mi lealtad a Cristo ha significado que no he podido mantener algunas de mis amistades antiguas.

Cualquiera, pues, que quiera ser amigo del mundo, se constituye enemigo de Dios. Santiago 4:4

“Si alguno viene a mí, y no aborrece a su padre, y madre, y mujer, e hijos, y hermanos, y hermanas, y aun también su propia vida, no puede ser mi discípulo”. Lucas 14:26

Tu lealtad se revela a través de las amistades que mantienes. Algunas amistades se van a romper si le estas siendo leal a Cristo, a tu iglesia y a tu pastor.

La lealtad de Jonatán con David le costó su relación con su propio padre. Y Jonatán respondió a su padre Saúl y le dijo: ¿Por qué morirá? ¿Qué ha hecho? Entonces Saúl le arrojó una lanza.          1 Samuel 20:32-33 . Note que Jonatán casi perdió su vida por su lealtad a David. La lealtad es costosa.

Lección #6 – La Lealtad Te Puede Costar Cosas Físicas

La Biblia nos enseña que cuando Moisés llegó a ser hombre, tuvo que escoger entre serle leal a Dios o al Faraón. Su lealtad a Dios le costó todo. Moisés pudo haber llegado a ser el próximo Primer Ministro de Egipto. Pero su lealtad le costó su ciudadanía, pasaporte y su estatus real. Lo perdió todo por 

Cristo.    Por la fe Moisés, hecho ya grande, rehusó llamarse hijo de la hija de Faraón, escogiendo antes ser maltratado con el pueblo de Dios…  Hebreos 11:24,25

Lección #7 – La Lealtad Demanda Análisis

Cuando tu lealtad es probada, tendrás que analizar muchas cosas para poder mantenerte leal. Un análisis es un estudio detallado o interpretación de la información presentada delante de ti. Quiero demostrarte algunas cosas que debes de analizar para poder estabilizar tu mente y corazón en lo que estás haciendo.

Analiza El Pasado

Quiero demostrarte como Pablo apeló a Timoteo a que analice las cosas. Primero, él dijo analiza el pasado. Por lo cual TE RECUERDO que avives el fuego del don de Dios que hay en ti por la imposición de mis manos. 2 Timoteo 1:6 

Timoteo era un hombre que a lo mejor se estaba desviando de su llamado. Pablo le escribe para recordarle lo que había pasado en el pasado. No sabemos exactamente qué estaba Pablo acordándose a Timoteo, pero me imagino que tenía que ver con su llamado. El le dijo: “Te estoy acordando de algo.” Piensa en todo lo que ha ocurrido en el pasado. Como Dios te llamó y te trajo hasta donde estas hoy. 

Analiza El Individuo A Quien Le Vas A Ser Leal

Pero persiste tú en lo que has aprendido y te persuadiste, SABIENDO DE QUIEN HAS APRENDIDO.   2da. Timoteo 3:14

Cuando la gente se inventa todo tipo de historias revoltosas y reportes calumniosos, piensa bien sobre lo que están diciendo. Analiza al individuo que está siendo criticado.

Analiza La Forma De Las Palabras Que Has Escuchado

Retén LA FORMA DE LAS SANAS PALABRAS que de mí oíste… 2da. Timoteo 1:13

Y éstos eran más nobles. ..Escudriñando cada día las Escrituras…    Hechos 17:11

Marcamos al Rebelde

Ellos preguntaron: ¿Cómo puedes pedirnos que nos mantengamos alejados de un hermano?”             La Palabra de Dios dice, …que os fijéis (en inglés esta palabra es marcar) en los que causan divisiones y tropiezos… Y Que Os Apartéis De Ellos.   Romanos 16:17

A través de todas las Escrituras encontrarás los registros históricos de Lucifer, el rebelde; Absalón, el asesino de papá; y Adonías, el usurpador. Ahitofel, el traidor; Seba, el que maldijo al rey David, y Judas quien traicionó a Jesús son algunos ejemplos de gente traicionera. ¿Acaso no podemos  esperar ver el mismo tipo de personas hoy en día? La Biblia es un libro práctico y declara: ¿Qué es lo que fue? Lo mismo que será…  Eclesiastés 1:9

Si tú eliges pastores y uno de ellos se torna en contra de ti, acuérdate que la misma cosa le pasó a Cristo. El Discípulo no es superior a su maestro…   Lucas 6:40

 66 Después que terminó la fiesta, el rey despidió al pueblo. Ellos bendijeron a Salomón, y se fueron a sus casas. Iban muy contentos por todo lo bueno que Dios le había hecho a David y a su pueblo Israel.

LOYALTY

INTRODUCTION

Why teach on the subject of “Loyalty and Disloyalty”? First of all, we have seen the relevance of this topic in the Word of God. Second of all, the Scriptures are filled with accounts of faithful people as well as deceitful ones.

We have seen inexperienced people who probably think that the more gifted they are, the more qualified they are for ministry. Our experience has shown us that it is the faithful and loyal people in the church who are most qualified to be leaders. 

Lay leadership as well as clergy is a science that must be studied very carefully, not only for its assimilation but also for the application of its principles and the achievement of greater effectiveness in the activities developed in any human field, and especially in the field of loyalty and disloyalty.

Leadership plays a very important role in the existence of the human being. It is a vital need that exists in the human heart. Jesus taught a model of leadership based on 

trust. The close relationship between Jesus and his disciples was continually expressed: “I am the good shepherd and I know my sheep, and my own know me…and I lay down my life for the sheep” (Jn 10:14). The disciples taught by their loyal example that it is possible to follow, live and die for someone: Jesus of Nazareth. 

Finally, a good LOYAL leadership promotes the unity and not the division of the Body, working hard for the vision and the Mission of the Pastor or Person in charge. We also thank the author of the original material; Apostle Dag Heward-Mills.

Why Loyalty?

Why teach on the subject of “Loyalty and Disloyalty”? First of all, I have seen the relevance of this topic in the Word of God. The Scriptures are filled with accounts of faithful people as well as deceitful ones. There is so much to learn from these Biblical accounts. My few years in ministry have also made me aware of loyal and disloyal people. I have noticed the impact it has on churches and ministries. Today I will share with you the topic of loyalty.

Keys To A Culture Of Loyalty

Key #1 The North Wind

The north wind drives away the rain, and the angry face the detractor tongue. Proverbs 25:23 The Bible says that the north wind drives away the rain. A powerful storm is chased away by a strong wind. In the same way, the power of malicious detractor language can be neutralized by certain facial expressions.

Show the person through your face that you are not interested in their conversation.                           …and the angry face [chases away] the detractor tongue. Proverbs 25:23

Key # 2 Prune Consistently

To have a culture of loyalty you must constantly prune those disloyal elements that get in our midst. Do not allow any leader to contaminate your valuable sheeps.

…Do you not know that a little yeast leavens the whole dough? 1 Corinthians 5:6     

Key #3 Create Fire

Sometimes it is necessary to create conditions to reveal disloyal elements within your team.

…and a viper, fleeing from the heat… Acts 28:3

When Paul arrived on the island of Melita, the local people kindly built a fire for him and his companions. Paul gathered some dry branches and threw them in the fire. Suddenly a viper came out of the fire and latched on to Paul’s hand. One of the ‘branches’ was a snake! The fire exposed her. Before being subject to fire, some snakes may appear to be ordinary branches.

Rebellion is born from the heart. If a person is going to cause trouble, no amount of money or favorable conditions of service will stop it.

Key #4 Work With Willing People

Make sure you don’t have unwilling (trapped) people around you. One thing you should not have is someone who wants to leave but for economic or other reasons feels trapped within your organization. The hearts of such people are no longer with you. They can become traitors. Present a way for these people to leave peacefully. There is nothing better than working with a willing and happy person. For if there is first WILLINGNESS… 2 Corinthians 8:12  

Key #5 Teach Against Disloyalty

Constant teaching on topics of loyalty and disloyalty is very important. Many people are ignorant about the unfolding process of disloyalty. In other words, many rebels are not aware of what they are doing. Constant education will prevent people from unconsciously engaging in deceitful activities. Anyone who wants to build a great church must constantly teach faithfulness and loyalty. Every minister will have his battle with temptations of disloyalty. Your leader will develop a culture of loyalty through your constant teaching.

• Lessons In Loyalty

Lesson #1 Loyalty Demands Complete Persuasion

You must be completely convinced in your heart of everything in which you are involved. Being a member committed to a ministry requires what I call complete persuasion. If you’re going to be loyal to me, you’ll have to be sure of me. Am I someone you can trust? Am I the person I say I am? I once asked some pastors: What will make people stop talking about me? One person gave the correct answer. She said, “If you stop doing the work of the ministry, people will stop talking about you!” And this is very true.

1. Jesus Was Accused

In Luke 23:2, Jesus was accused by many people of: …lead our people astray…   …teaching the people to revolt… …preventing them from paying taxes to the Emperor… …telling them that it is not good to pay taxes… …claiming to be an Anointed King…

And in Luke 11:15, Jesus was accused of casting out demons because He was:

   …in alliance with Beelzebub, the prince of demons…

2. Paul Was Accused

In Acts 24:5, Paul was accused of being …a source of malice…a real plague…a public pestilence…a disturber of the peace…one who stirs up controversy…a fomenter of discord… …the head of a sect…

In Acts 24:6, he was also accused of being someone who: …also tried to desecrate a temple…was trying to make the temple impure. You must be fully persuaded so that when accusers, trials and tribulations come you will be able to remain faithful.

You must be prepared to confidently defend the integrity of the ministry. But I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and I am sure [English this word is persuaded]… 2nd. Timothy 1:12

Lesson #2 – Your Loyalty Must Be To The Highest Authority

In an organization like the church there will always be a number of different authorities that you will have to submit to. Obviously, some of them will rank higher than others. The lesson here is, if the loyalty question arises: Your loyalty must be to the person with the highest authority. The apostle Paul said: You follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. 1 Cor. 11:1

Lesson #3 – A Loyal Person Does Not Withhold Information

A loyal person is open with their authority about whatever is going on. I consider someone loyal if he shares with me about the corruption that is taking place. If I realize that he knew from the beginning, but did not say anything, I will consider him disloyal. There are several examples in the Bible of people not keeping information to themselves. Some of these led to great revelations and blessings. Paul said; “Indeed it is HEARD that there is fornication among you… 1 Corinthians 5:1

Notice that Paul did not receive a word of knowledge about the magnitude of immorality within the church. Someone let him know. A good and loyal structure works through faithful people who inform those above about anything that is out of order. We would not have all the good teaching of 1st Corinthians 5, if someone had not reported this act of sin.

Observe how another family reports to Paul about some occurrences within the church. This report didn’t even come from the pastor, but from an ordinary church member named Chloe. Because I have been INFORMED… by those of Chloe, that there are disputes among you… 1 Cor. 1:11

Such reports lead to the edification of the church. A difference is found between holy reports to the proper authorities and gossipy slander.

When you keep the information to yourself, you give the impression that you agree with what is happening. It is what we call complicity. If you discover an insurrection and arrest all the rebels, this is only the first step. The next thing to do is find out who knew about this. A godly report can save the life of a church.

Lesson #4 – Loyalty Is Based On Principles Not Emotions 

Many people operate on feelings and emotions instead of a set of principles. Decisions based on emotions rather than principles are not substantive. If you have decided to belong to something you must make your decision based on principles and not feelings.

Jonathan Was a Person of Principles

Jonathan, Saul’s son realized that his father was wrong in principle, he was trying to murder an innocent man. So he decided to help David even though it was emotionally difficult to do so. Although his actions were directed against his own family, it was the right thing to do. Some people just follow the family line. Jonathan was not like that. Look what he said;    But if my father tries to do you wrong… I will let you know and I will send you to go in peace… 1 Samuel 2

Lesson #5 – Loyalty Will Cost You Relationships And Friendships

Everything has a price. Education has a price. Even your salvation has a price. The Bible says that we were bought with a price. Loyalty also has a price. Being loyal to someone means you can’t be loyal to everyone. Loyalty will cost you relationships and friendships. My loyalty to Christ has meant that I have been unable to keep some of my old friendships.

Anyone, then, who wants to be a friend of the world, makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4

“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.” Luke 14:26

Your loyalty is revealed through the friendships you keep. Some friendships will break if you are being loyal to Christ, your church and your pastor.

Jonathan’s loyalty to David cost him his relationship with his own father. And Jonathan answered his father Saul and said to him: Why will he die? What have he done? Then Saul threw a spear at him. 1 Samuel 20:32-33 . Notice that Jonathan almost lost his life because of his loyalty to David. Loyalty is costly.

Lesson #6 – Loyalty Can Cost You Physical Things

The Bible teaches us that when Moses became a man, he had to choose between being loyal to God or to Pharaoh. His loyalty to God cost him everything. Moses could have become the next Prime Minister of Egypt. But his loyalty cost him his citizenship, passport, and royal status. He lost everything for Christ.

 By faith Moses, grown up, refused to call himself the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing instead to be mistreated with God’s people… Hebrews 11:24,25

Lesson #7 – Loyalty Demands Analysis

When your loyalty is tested, you will have to analyze many things to be able to stay loyal. An analysis is a detailed study or interpretation of the information presented to you. I want to show you some things that you must analyze in order to stabilize your mind and heart in what you are doing.

Analyze The Past

I want to show you how Paul appealed to Timothy to analyze things. First, he said analyze the past. For which I REMEMBER YOU to revive the fire of the gift of God that is in you by the imposition of my hands. 2 Timothy 1:6 

Timothy was a man who might have strayed from his calling. Paul writes to him to remind him of what had happened in the past. We don’t know exactly what Paul was reminding Timothy of, but I imagine it had to do with his calling. He told him: “I am reminding you of something.” Think about everything that has happened in the past. How God called you and brought you to where you are today. 

Analyze The Individual To Whom You Are Going To Be Loyal To

But persist in what you have learned and persuaded yourself, KNOWING FROM WHOM YOU HAVE LEARNED. 2nd Timothy 3:14

When people make up all kinds of unruly stories and slanderous reports, think hard about what they are saying. Analyze the individual who is being criticized.

Marking the Rebel

They asked: How can you ask us to stay away from a brother? The Word of God says, …that you mark those who cause divisions and stumbling blocks… And That You Stay Away From Them. Romans 16:17

Throughout all the Scriptures you will find the historical records of Lucifer, the rebel; Absalom, Dad’s killer; and Adonijah, the usurper. Ahithophel, the traitor; Sheba, the one who cursed King David, and Judas who betrayed Jesus are some examples of deceitful people. Can we not expect to see the same kind of people today? The Bible is a practical book and declares: What is it that was? The same thing will be… Ecclesiastes 1:9

If you choose pastors and one of them turns against you, remember that the same thing happened to Christ. The Disciple is not superior to his teacher… Luke 6:40
